Signature Update

It is very important to update your signature on file, as it may change throughout the years.

• Your signature style has evolved from when your first registered;
• You have been married or divorced; or
• You are unable to write*.

If you fall into one of these catergories, please complete a Florida Voter Registration Application and return it to our office (Click here).

Your signature on your voter registration is used to verify petition, vote-by-mail ballots and provisional ballots. If your signature does not match what is on file, your petition or ballot may not count.

*Please note: If you are a caregiver to someone whose signature needs to be updated for any reason, Power of Attorney cannot be accepted in place of the voter's signature or mark. For specific instructions, please contact our office.
